  • Quality that is affordble

I really enjoy the Dodge Journey. However, when I purchased at 40k miles, the A/C warranty expired at 36k miles. The Freon tank was completely empty. Of course this uses the newer expensive Freon, and I immediately had to put $650 into it to get the hoses replaced and the tank full. I'm not sure if this is a common problem or not. There was no license plate mounts on the front, so it forced me to install one. Which was painful putting a hole in the car. Overall tho, for the price and the value gained this is a very affordable and reliable car for a middle class family like mine. I enjoy the sound system that came stock, The seats are very versatile as well. I would defenitly recommend this car to a friend.

There simply is no better SUV value in terms of quality, ride, convenience, price than the Journey. We own both a 2014 Limited and a 2016 Crossroads. We could not be happier. We have had NO issues on either, one with 70k and the other with 50k miles. And I just ran the numbers this morning - with 72 month loans on both, putting both cars together at their different mileage and age values from Kelly Blue Book values, we are dead even on equity - meaning we are right on value with what we owe. That is rather astonishing with the negative reviews the Journey often receives. We would buy these cars again every time. Dont believe the experts - listen to the owners! Go Journey and Go Dodge!
  • I love my Journey!

I own a 2010 Dodge Journey SXT AWD that has been nothing less than miraculous. I heard a lot of horror stories about the Journey but I got a price I couldn't pass up. The most "unreliable"vehicle now is approaching 100000 miles without any signs of stopping. I have had ZERO problems with it including the brakes. The 3.5 still runs like new and never uses a drop of oil. The A/C still blows Ice Cold and there is absolutely no squeeks or rattles to be heard. The AWD system is excellent, the week I bought it I drove through a nasty blizzard; when traffic came to a standstill, nobody could make it up a very steep hill. I attempted to climb the hill and the Journey kept digging and I was one of four cars to make it to the top (A Subaru, Grand Cherokee, and a Pacifica.) I average 22 mpg which I find acceptable. My new job will require me to do even more driving (60000 a year) and I will probably be buying a new car. The Journey is staying with me as well, I plan on keeping it until it dies. I will be buying a new Durango within the next 6 months. I've had very good luck with Chrysler products and they have won a customer for life.
